


The Midwest Jurisdiction of Mt. Calvary Holy Church of America, Inc. (MCHCA, Inc.) is proud to establish an educational scholarship fund in honor of the late Executive Vice Bishop, Hansel H. Henry.
The scholarship is established exclusively for pastors affiliated with MCHCA, Inc. who are furthering their education at an accredited college, university, or seminary.

Bishop Hansel Harrison Henry was a man driven to excel academically. One of his greatest passions was fostering a sense of achievement in everyone he was blessed to minister to and mentor.
Bishop Henry received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Morgan State College in June 1968, a Master of Theology degree from Boston University in 1971 (after being selected as the first recipient of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. scholarship) and a Doctor of Ministry degree from United Theological Seminary in 1997.
Bishop Henry faithfully served MCHCA, Inc. for the better part of his life in numerous capacities including minister, pastor, jurisdictional bishop and executive vice bishop. Bishop Henry was faithful to Bishop Harold I. Williams (former presiding bishop) for many years; always lending his skills and expertise for the betterment of the organization.
Bishop Henry was married to the former Deloris Cross for 43 years and was the proud father of two children, Hank and Erica.
